Barry Duke

DOUG Mainwaring’s foam-flecked rants get ever more hysterical. What sparked his latest tirade this week was a poster for a documentary—Wonderfully Made LGBTQ+R(eligion)—which explores how religion has played a leading role in perpetuating anti-LGBT+ attitudes. At the root of Uganda’s draconian anti-gay law is the belief that it would make it ‘a more Christian nation’

Barry Duke

Worldwide revulsion expressed over the signing into law of a bill supported in the main by Western evangelists. Whether or not Uganda will become even more god-besotted than it already is is debatable, but what is certain is that the country could become a whole lot poorer as a result of President Yoweri Museveni signing into law a revised version of an earlier anti-homosexuality bill. This was made clear when President Biden yesterday (Monday) called for the immediate repeal of Uganda’s new Act and warned of possible sanctions against the country. This shameful Act is the latest development in an … Continue reading At the root of Uganda’s draconian anti-gay law is the belief that it would make it ‘a more Christian nation’

Catholic League’s Bill Donohue brands Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence ‘an anti-Catholic hate group’

Barry Duke

IRONICALLY, the Catholic League exists mainly to defend paedophilia in the RCC and trash LGBT+ people. How many queers hate Catholics? Catholic League President Bill Donohue posed this question after it was announced that the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, would after all, perform at a Los Angeles Dodgers game on June 16. Bill Donohue. Image via YouTube. He answered his own question: It’s hard to say, but it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that many gays and trans persons in the Los Angeles area do. Just in the LA area? Get real Donohue. The Catholic Church is … Continue reading Catholic League’s Bill Donohue brands Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence ‘an anti-Catholic hate group’

Far-right gay Christians declare war on same-sex marriage

Barry Duke

They claim gay marriage was introduced with the sole aim of ‘owning’ Christians. MUSLIMS are bent on using America’s religious liberties to further the Islamisation of the country, “conservative commentator” Pax Hart told a Proud Boys member in a video back in 2017. Speaking to Proud Boy New York Resident Geoff Young during a “Ride for Homeland Security” Hart declared: The worst thing we have going for us is our religious liberty. It’s our greatest vulnerability. In the video he made the claim that countries such as France and Germany would soon become Islamic. Hart, who was in a same-sex … Continue reading Far-right gay Christians declare war on same-sex marriage

PINK Triangle Trust treasurer Diesel Balaam shares his memories of Saich, pictured above, a key figure in the establishment of the Gay Humanist Group which later became the Gay And Lesbian Humanist Association. Our dear friend and stalwart campaigner, Roy Saich, sadly passed away in hospital on Tuesday, May 2.  He had had some medical complications over the weekend necessitating hospitalisation.  He was visited by his nephew, Guy Saich and his wife Tracey and by John Marshall, a Pink Triangle Trust trustee, on the Monday, when he appeared to be in good spirits and rallying a little.  It’s good to … Continue reading Veteran gay humanist campaigner Roy Saich dies aged 83

A drag queen is not a drag queen if he loves God and Trump

Barry Duke

SALT Lake City Mormon Ryan Woods received a rapturous reception when he attended a recent gathering of far-right Trumpitas because he calls himself a ‘costume artist’. When Ryan Woods, aka Lady Maga USA, attended a recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida he got a rapturous reception despite his appearance in full drag. Given the Republicans’ hatred of drag queens, one has to ask why Woods, a Salt Lake City Mormon, wasn’t pelted with eggs and beaten with pick axe handles by the far-right gathering of“God’s angels”—or, as I prefer, MAGGOTS! The answer is simple. Woods loves The Almighthy … Continue reading A drag queen is not a drag queen if he loves God and Trump
