‘Even Satan wasn’t gay.’ Religious fanatics in Kenya unite to protest the legal registration of an LGBT+ group

FOLLOWING our report that Christians and Muslims recently found common ground in Canada—their hatred of LGBT+ communities—comes news from Kenya that protests have taken place over a Supreme Court decision to allowed the registration of the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (NGLHR).

The Nation reports that religious leaders called for the review of the judgement and the resignation of three Supreme Court Judges who delivered a ruling allowing the registration of the NGLHR and other same-sex advocacy groups.

The hate-filled zealots are claiming that the decision goes against the constitution and the “traditional values of Kenyan communities.”

Last month the Supreme Court ruled that the registration of bodies advocating for same-sex rights was not illegal. Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwili, Smokin Wanjala and Njoki Ndungu said it was unconstitutional to deny the groups their rights of association.

Two justices dissented, saying they could not support registrations championing acts that are against the law.

Wiki points out same-sex acts are illegal under Kenyan statutes and carry a maximum penalty of 14 years’ imprisonment to 21 years in certain aggravating circumstances.

After Friday prayers at Jamia Mosque, a group, composed of Muslim faithful and clerics, issued a petition at the office of Chief Justice and Speaker of the National Assembly.

One MP who opposed the decision, gun-toting Mohamed Ali, above, is quoted as saying:

Homosexuality has no place in our society. Those who want to practice should go to those Western countries so that they do it there. The three judges have to resign and if they don’t do so, we have the power of the people to initiate the process of removing them from office.

Some Muslim imbecile named Sheikh Amir added:

We call on Kenyans to be vigilant and resist the push for decriminalisation of homosexual activities. We are aware of the back door plans under the guise of Sexual Health Reproductive Rights and the Comprehensive Sex Education initiatives to gradually legalise LGBTQ activities.

The sheikh insisted homosexuality was not an African tradition and is not allowed both in Christianity and Islam.

“”Apostle” Musyoki of the Church and Clergy Association of Kenya claimed that homosexuality is a form of abetting moral decay and is taking Kenya to the path of Sodom and Gomorrah.”

The honourable thing for the three Judges to do was to exit office because they have lost the confidence of the public, he said,

Lesbian and gay lifestyles have proven to have adverse health and social outcomes.

  1. I wonder how many of these devout religitards know in their heart of hearts that they too are LGBTQ and hope by being so phobic that no one will ever suspect them.
